Payless to Donate $1 Million in Shoes

For the Holiday season, Payless has announced that it will be donating $1 Million dollars worth of shoes to kids in need across the United States. The charitable contribution will help out a lot of kids this season. Payless is asking non-profits across the nation to apply for gift certificates to help distribute the shoes. http://www.paylessgives.com/

My shoes are killing me.

Omar Angel Perez created these sculptures and dedicated them to the many women who endure the torture of wearing High Heel shoes.

Shoe Sculptures

Facebook Group

The other day I was on Facebook, surfing through the many groups and joining a few that I share an interest with. I came across a very funny group called, "When I get tired of shopping, I sit down and try on shoes". I thought it was very funny.

Weird Shoes

These are some of the weirdest shoes I have ever seen. Although, if you even wanted to dress up as a half horse half man for Halloween, these would probably work great, but are probably out of the Halloween costume budget. I found this picture at virtualshoemuseum.com. Check it out. They have a lot of interesting shoes.

New Black Shoes

I bought some new black dress shoes the other day as my old shoes were, well OLD. Old is actually an understatement as I had had the my last pair of black dress shoes for over 9 years and as you guessed it, they were worn out and slightly out of date. Needless to say I needed a new pair. After shopping around both off and online I bought a pair of shiny black Bass shoes, and I must add, I like them a lot. They go well with my suit and other dress clothes that I have.

NCAA College Basketball Championship

Tonight is the final game of the NCAA College Basketball Championship. The two teams left are the Kansas Jay hawks and the Memphis Tigers. Both are number 1 seeded teams, and I have no real connection to either school. So who do I hope wins? Well let’s check my ESPN Tournament Challenge Bracket and see which team will get me closer to number 1. Truthfully, I had setup one bracket with UNC vs. UCLA and another with Kansas vs. UCLA and had not counted on Memphis making the final two. I also picked UCLA to win it all against either team.

No game without the shoes

It’s that time of year again and March Madness is in the air. You've got your bracket of 64 teams all filled out and broken down to the final match up with one winner emerging victorious. Which begs the question ”What kind of shoes do you think the winning team will be wearing?”. Because lets face it, without the shoes, basketball just would not be the game it is today.
